Duties of property management include accepting rent, responding to and addressing maintenance issues, and providing a buffer for those landlords desiring to distance themselves from their tenant constituency.
Rental Management requires a wide range of skill sets, most of which each individual manager gains through experience as well as ongoing education. There are many facets to this profession, including managing the accounts and finances of the real estate properties, initiating and participating in action with tenants, contractors and insurance agencies.
Where can I get some?
There are many variations and styles of property management. Residential property management has in the past, been a loss leader for most brokerages and provided as a side service to existing clients. Since the collapse of the Real Estate Market, many agents have switched to property management from sales to provide a consistant revenue stream to survive until sales pick up again. Others have started up in hopes of selling off all the properties when the market recovers. Chris has always had a long term commitment with long term investors who plan to hold for at least ten years. Chris started as a buyers agent and assistant property manager in 1995 and continues to service some of the same owners since the start.
Chris has seen many business models fail while working with various brokers over the years.
